Tree ID: 3525

Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m

Tree girth: 554cm

Girth height: at 8cm

Tree sex: female

Date of visit: 26-Jun-11

Source of earliest mention: 2011: Tim Hills

Notes:

June 2011 – Tim Hills: Although the entire circumference of this yew can be seen, only a portion still supports growth. Ivy has taken hold in the dead section of the tree, and is so out of control as to be a threat to its survival. The tree appears to have been cut back to a height of about 8′ and many branches of similar size grow from this point on the living portion of this old tree. Girth 18′ 2” (554cm) close to the ground.
2016 – Paul Wood: The yew looks very much as described in 2011, but with more ivy. The smallest measurement at 3” from the ground has not changed and 18′ 2” (554cm) was recorded.
