St Giles Park - Wimborne (1)

Two female yews grow close to each other. The largest girthed, 16′ 3” (496cm) at root crown, is shown in the 1st photograph. The yew in the 2nd photo had a girth of 13′ 7” (414cm) at 2′. Of particular note is that both of these specimens are producing new trees from layered branches. Two new trees are seen here emerging from the smaller girthed yew, one from the larger.
