Notes:

Some time before 1946 Mrs K.Innes informed Cornish (for The Churchyard Yew and Immortality) of a yew planted in 1748. According to the church guide the date of planting was 1759. Perhaps it was an already eleven year old tree when planted out in 1759. In 2006 I recorded its girth as 8′ 8” at 1′ and 8′ 10” at 3′. November 2012 – Peter Norton: Girth of 8′ 7” at 2′, the height indicated by an embedded nail.
