Notes:

March 2009 Pat Thompson: An old parish register gives the date of planting of the yew to the NW of Stalisfield church as March 29th 1839. Girth has been recorded as 9′ 4” at 4′, 10′ 9″ at 3” (with small amount of growth on south side just above this level) and 9′ at 2′. The furthest spread from the bole to a branch tip is 36′ 6”. It has a fissure down the east side to the ground which is ‘bleeding’.
