1999 – Tim Hills: A sizeable section is pulling away from the tree. A double row of chains, as well as wire around the upper branches, are stretched taut in an effort to hold it together. The centre is filled with large internal growth feeding from and into the six substantial branches. Girth close to the ground was 22′ 10” (696cm). A measure at any other height would by 7m+.
