Notes:The yew is fenced off from the stock in the surrounding fields but is accessible by walking close to the stream. The solid looking tree has a small hollow area at its foot on the west side of the tree. It appears to have had a quiet existence in the borderlands for many hundreds of years. It was measured as shown in the first photograph at what appeared to be its narrowest point.
