Notes:

August 1999 – Tim Hills: All that remains is half of a shell, fluted and with a covering of red bark. A large metal band attempts to hold it together. There are further, less conspicuous, bands higher in the tree. Girth was 17′ 9” (541cm) at 18”.
2007 – Ian Robert Brown: Steel banded at about 8′. Trunk completely hollow with large opening on one side. In a well trodden, plucked and preened space, perhaps restricting new growth. Nonetheless appears to be in good health.
