September 2009 – Tim Hills: Girth of 9′ 7” was recorded at 1′ just above root bulge. Above a height of 2′ is an explosion of growth with many tall branches. Between 3′ and 5′ the trunk is covered with adventitious growth. The tree is solid, though at a height of about 8′ there appears to be a space where rot might begin. A triangle of three smaller girthed yews grow lower down this sloping churchyard and close to the lake on the east side.
