Thryft House Farm

This yew is now protected by a Tree Preservation Order. The original soil levels were lowered some years ago causing obvious and extensive root damage. Also, a wall has been built close to the trunk exacerbating the situation. The yew now grows in a raised bed. Its height is approximately 24′ and its spread in a north-south direction about 23′. Much of the trunk is dead, however two large stems on the south side are healthy, and provide the existing canopy.
