Notes:The tree, found at Google maps (50.975062,-2.710125), has a solid bole, no real break of crown but instead it splits into many small upright branches at about 12’/15′. Girth of 14′ 10” (452cm) was recorded at 3′.
In 1985 Alan Mitchell recorded the girth as 443cm (14′ 6”).
The second yew mentioned by Penelope Hobhouse is considerably smaller in girth – about half the size of the larger – and is found at Google map 50.975085,-2.710351.
Both trees are seen in the last photograph.
