1797 – The History and Topographical Survey of the County of Kent: Volume 2, originally published by W Bristow, Canterbury: “In the church yard are two yew trees, the least of which is twenty-two feet and a half (686cm) in girt.”
1993 – Mr Wood for Conservation Foundation: 25′ 4” (772cm) at approximately 4′ and 24′ (732cm) at 4′ 6”.
1999 – Tim Hills: Only one yew is recorded. It grows west of the church. Some of the hollow gaps have been filled with concrete. Girths recorded: 24′ 7” (749cm) close to the ground, 25′ 3” (770cm) at 3′ and 22′ 9″ (693cm) at 5′.
