Tim Hills 2008 – The largest of two yews is a fine expansive male tree growing NW of the church on top of a high bank above the road. Nearby was a large pile of decaying grasses and refuse. An ivy stem on the tree was 1′ in girth, and allowing for this the tree’s girth was estimated at 12′ 6” (381cm).
Peter Norton 2015: An eight inch diameter ivy stem grows up against the west side of the trunk. Included in the tree’s girth gave a measurement of 13′ 7” (414cm), but allowing for the stem 12′ 8” (386cm) at 1′ was recorded.
