Whitsbury - courting tree

A tall healthy yew which is hollow and split into two, though the halves are joined low down on the side facing north. Careful threading of the tape through much twiggy growth enabled us to record the following measurements:
835cm at 30cm (27′ 5” at 1′)
680cm at 150 cm (22′ 4” at 5′)
780cm at 90cm (25′ 7” at 3′)
Approximately 28′ at the ground.
