Notes:May 2011 – Peter Norton: Two massive branches have started to decay where the crown breaks at about 5′ where can be seen the start of an 8” diameter internal stem. The tree also has the start of a basal cavity, caused by and old branch that has rotted, through which the continuation of the stem into the ground can be noted.
2013: Girth of 510cm (16′ 9”) at 30cm recorded by David Blake for the Ancient Tree Hunt.
