February 2007 – Tim Hills: A fine tall tree. It has obviously had a wall around it at some stage. It gave the impression of having been cut off at 10’/12′ and new branches rise from this point. A smaller fluted male yew grows SW. In 1790 it was written that ‘The churchyard is large for the Parish, near half an acre. A large flourishing yew tree decorates it’.
