Notes:

Of the four yews that grow here two are either side of the south path that leads from the porch to open fields. In the photo the largest is on the left, the most easterly of the trio, a male yew with a flared butt and a girth of 13′ 2″ (401cm) at 1′ and 13′ 0″ (396cm) at 3′ where one embedded nail marks the height. On the other side of the path is a smaller female with the same characteristics and girths of 11′ 1″ (338cm) at 1′ 6″ and 10′ 2″ (310cm) at 3′, again marked with an embedded nail. A few paces away towards the west is a male with a fluted bole and a girth of 11′ 9″ (358cm) at 1′. A fourth yew, close to the west gate, is a sprawling male whose girth was not recorded due to exaggerated limbs.
