Tree girth: 597cm

Girth height: at 60cm

Tree sex: female

Notes:

April 1998 – Tim Hills: A flying visit, no notes recorded, girth approximately 19′.
April 2005: A tree survey, commissioned by the Caring for God’s Acre project was carried out by Phi Evans. A ‘healthy, handsome tree’ was reported. Some remedial work was considered necessary, details of which were contained in the report.
August 2017 – Paul Wood: At first appearance the yew appeared lush and green and covered in unusually large arils. Parts of it however seemed to be in a period of decline. On its south side is seen an opening with many dead younger branches that seemed to be a result of the elements rather than any trauma. This south side was covered in ivy from the ground up to the lower parts of the canopy. Measured at a height of just over 2′ a girth of 19′ 7” (597cm) was recorded over the ivy.
