Notes: June 2016 Paul Wood: Here are 3 remarkable trees in an overgrown churchyard set on two levels. The roadside level was mown and quite accessible with a path mown on the lower level to the church door. However the route to the yews had grass up to chest high, so be warned of hidden obstacles. An additional young yew has established itself on the terrace 10 metres east of the church. 'The origin of the church is not known. On present evidence it is unlikely to be an early medieval foundation' (CPAT).
