Notes: Peter Norton: The church is dedicated to St. Llywel, a Celtic saint about whom little is known and who probably lived in the 6th century. The church, first mentioned in 1254, was substantially restored in the 1870s. At the moment (2017) it is closed for safety reasons and there is a local campaign to try and save it. The old yew grows to the SE and a further four younger yews fill this tiny churchyard. 2022: The church is for sale, but the ancient yew is on land which will continue to be managed by the Church in Wales. This includes a path that leads from the road into the churchyard.
