The most significant tree is tree 1, SE of the church and with a single female branch on a male tree. A trio of yews, a female between two males, grow at the west end of the churchyard. 2016 Peter Norton: The church is believed to have been originally founded around the 6th century. The present church was built during the 14th or 15th century and restored in 1858. The churchyard is roughly circular in shape and the llan area enclosed by earth banking, which can be seen from outside the churchyard on the south and southwest side.
