Notes: This village appears on different scale O/S maps as Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern and Llanfihangel Ystum Llewern. Its ancient church, on the Offa's Dyke footpath, was rebuilt in the 19th century. It is very welcoming to all and much visited. Two old yews grow at the boundary wall on the south side of the church.
