Notes: The spelling of this site is taken from the Ordnance Survey. It varies slightly in the following extract from the chapter 'Churches and Clergy' taken from Parishes of the Buzzard by Ruth Bidgood. 'Local tradition has it that the interesting old gentry-house (now a farmhouse) of Llwynyfynwent was originally enlarged from an ancient church, Llanddewi, probably the chapel of the grange. Though this may not be literally true, the house does indeed stand in a 'churchyard grove' (the meaning of its name). The phrases of old topographers come to life as one goes down the old track'.
