Notes: The earliest parts of the church are 12th century. The History and Topographical Survey of the County of Kent: Volume 10, originally published by W Bristow, Canterbury, in 1800 reported that 'In the churchyard is a remarkable fine yew tree, which measures upwards of twenty feet round'. It seems strange that only one yew was noted. Today a sign outside the churchyard labels the 2 fine male yews growing E and W.
