Notes: A 'venerable yew avenue' was described in 1846 as being situated close to Clachan House, another mansion belonging to the Campbell family and formerly their principal seat in that area. Roseneath, or Rosneath Castle was gutted by fire in 1947 and the remains blown up by the army in 1961. The site is now a caravan park.
