Notes: The church here is no longer in use. The site is approached along a farm track and is freely accessible. The dark green of yew foliage is seen long before arrival, carried on a line of 22 tall yews that have been planted at the western perimeter. At B and C are younger yews, also shown here, while the ancient tree grows on the west side of the churchyard. In 1817 Fisher wrote: 'We saw two large and flourishing yew-trees in the church-yard of this place, whose aged trunks intimated that they had witnessed many successive generations of men pass beneath their extended arms to worship or to revels.'
