Tree girth: 396cm
Girth height: at 150cm
Tree sex: male
Date of visit: 10-Aug-98
Source of earliest mention: 1993: Tree Register Data Base -Percival Morgan
Notes:August 1998 – Tim Hills: Tree 2 on the plan was recorded with a girth of about 13′ in 1998.
2012 – Tim Hills: the area around the hollow tree had become a place to hide decaying grass.
November 2017 – Paul Wood: Yew 2 grows very close to yew 3. It seemed to me possible that these two are separated parts of a once very large single tree. Photographic evidence was not possible because of the low sun. I observed that the living wood on these two trees is far outweighed by the amount of dead or dying wood. Tree 2 has a thin shell of living red wood with large amounts of dying white wood visible all over the bole. Further pieces of white wood stick out from the bank between the two trees.
