Notes:

Yew 2 is female, with a girth of 442cm measured horizontally from the highest ground point including a stretch of root crown. The measure represents the apparent minimum at this level. Also 477.5cm measured horizontally at 85cm above the highest ground point. It grows on the other side of the house and uphill from yew 1, at the top of a lesser vertical drop, c1.5m high. It is near the road. There is some root system exposure on the vertical ground surface; again the roots are unbroken indicating an earthwork likely to be at least as old as the tree. Its apparent twin equal trunks are fully fused. This yew is very tall; again the destruction of the upper bole at about 2m has led to regeneration, in this case the material consists of many tall thick and smooth vertical stems emanating from the top of the bole. The canopy of the yew is also broadly conical, matching yew 1.
