Notes:The yew grows on the right side on entering the churchyard. In 2001 a girth of 15′ 6” (472cm) at its narrowest point was recorded. In 2013 this was closer to 16′. From its elongated bole are many branches, the most prominent leaning over the churchyard gate. Another substantial branch has been sawn off. The sequence of photos shows how quickly twiggy growth can effectively hide a tree.
