Notes:

November 1997 – Tim Hills: The yew grows NW of the church. From its 4′ high bole develop two distinct areas of growth. A girth of 23′ 10” (726cm) was recorded.
June 2000 – Tim Hills: 27′ 4″ (833cm) at the base includes some low growth. 23′ 4” (711cm) at 4′. To the south is a thick, knobbly epicormic covered stem with much new growth coming from it. Also a contrasting newer, very straight stem with flaking bark. To the north, also dividing into two growth areas, a thick, knobbly stem growing around an old dead branch. All around the tree are signs of sawn off lower stems. Elder and nettles looked as though the tree would be hidden for most of the summer. Much gall was noted and many brown and yellow needles.
Revisits in 2005, 2014 and 2022 found the tree in good health.
2025: Thick foliage, no leaf discolouration, tree looking in excellent condition. Elder and other plants beginning to cover the ground around the tree. No measurement possible.
