August 1998 – Tim Hills: The yew grows SW of the church. It is twin trunked from the ground, each trunk being hollow. Pieces of almost concealed stump show this to have been an even larger tree. Girth at the ground including a piece of stump was 26′ 6” (808cm).
July 2015 – Paul Wood: A much fragmented male tree that has been much larger. At least five fused internal stems of some age are visible. It appears to be growing well with plentiful foliage. A ground measurement gave a girth of 811cm.
