Notes:

August 1998 – Tim Hills: Tree 1 on the plan. The first tree to be seen to the left of the path when approaching the church. Its centre is filled with new growth being laid down over decaying wood. Bits of old bole show that it was once much larger. These will soon disappear and reduce girth further. Girth at the ground including the stumps was 18′ 2” (554cm) in 2001.
February 2008 – Russell Cleaver: With the loss of sections of the bole, girth is now reduced to 13′ 1” at 2′ (398cm).
2014 – Tim Hills: Girth of 13′ 3” (404cm) at 3′, just beneath the bulge, and 13′ 2” (401cm) at 5′, just above the bulge.
