Notes:Tree A is found at SO49548867. It is quite striking, standing alone on the side of the hill on a former field boundary that would have once been a hedgerow, but is now just a fence. The tree, whose overall appearance is quite squat, is slowly losing its centre and is pocked with little hollows. It has recently lost a limb in a bad storm. It was nonetheless displaying full green foliage and was providing a feast of arils. Measured at its visible narrowest point at the top of the root crown at the fence side (west side) of the tree a girth of 16′ 7” (505cm) was recorded. This tree is about 50m from the public footpath, so is on private property.
