Notes:Tree 1 on the plan is a remarkably uniform tree. It grows on a mound just inside the lych-gate entrance at the main road. Girth was 12′ 6” (3.81m) at the ground and the same at 1′ intervals to a height of about 4′ where the tree becomes larger and its limbs develop. There were no hollows or rot visible. A light cover of ivy was not sufficient to affect the measurements.
