Notes:WSW of the church. I was unable to get near the tree on my first visit in 1998, but in April 2000 the ground around the tree had been cleared. From a bole of about 4′ this is a tree of two distinct sides.
Recorded girths as follows:
1983 Reg Wheeler – 574cm (18′ 10”) at 30cm.
2000 Tim Hills – 17′ 10” (544cm) between the ground and 1′.
