Tree 2 on the plan, south of the church, and the second tree from the churchyard gate. In the advanced stage of becoming two fragment trees, with a decaying central section that currently links the two, soon to be gone. The leaning fragment grows away from the original tree’s centre for about 10′ before resuming vertical growth.
Girth of about 16′ 3” (495cm) at 1′ was recorded in 2001.
Girth of 17′ 1” (521cm) at 1′ was recorded in 2012. The original tree would have been much larger girthed.
Paul Wood April 2016: Measured at one foot as in 2012 we recorded the same girth of 17′ 1” (521cm).
