Notes: In The Trees of Shropshire, Andrew Morton describes the Easthope area: 'Yews can be found in fields along bridleways, in hedgerows, in woodland and by cottages all round this area. Some of these trees, in fields, have been left undisturbed for centuries despite having the reputation of being highly poisonous to livestock. The churchyard at Easthope is the focal point for many of these trees'. Three of the countryside specimens are noted here by Rob McBride and Andy Gordon.
