Notes: 5 yews recorded at this site, 3 forming a line along an old hollow way that leads from the summit of a small hill in a north easterly direction towards Flaxley Abbey. Another old specimen in the churchyard east of the church continues this line. Three quarters of a mile west of Flaxley Abbey is Welshbury, an iron age fortress. The photos show (1) the largest yew by the side of the road (2) two of the other yews on the hillside.
