Notes: According to the Clwyd/Powys Artchaeological Trust 'An early medieval origin for this church site seems assured'. As well as the ancient yew growing west of the church, two younger yews were noted south of this tree on the churchyard perimeter. I also noted on the riverbank 25m down from the south side of the church entrance two yews on the east side of the river. Both looked large enough to merit further investigation.
