Tree ID: 2134
Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m
Tree girth: 572cm
Girth height: at 15cm
Tree sex: unspecified
Date of visit: 10-Nov-05
Source of earliest mention: 2005: Peter Andrews
Notes:November 2005 – Tim Hills: Tree 5 – I was not sure what to make of these yew pieces. To one side a trunk that bulges outwards at a height of 4′, and at the edges of this on the other side of the tree are new branches, some substantial in size. These perhaps grew on the edge of an old bole and mark where it once stood. Girth of 18′ 9” (571.5cm) at 6” recorded.
2010 – Peter Andrews: Large yew near to road. Sex uncertain, though no arils were seen. Tree looks as though it has suffered considerable damage, possibly long ago it was cut or blown down. It was probably much larger girthed at one time. Present girth at base 19′ 6” (594cm).
