Notes:2003 Tim Hills: Tree 3 is male – girth of 17′ (518cm) exactly at 2′. Hollow, with live wood on the side facing the path. A large piece of dead sapwood is seen here on the downward slope. Almost all growth feeds into one thin hollowed out branch . Two internal stems can be seen in its hollow.
2025 Ancient Tree Inventory: At the top of a steep slope within woodland. Much decay within the trunk but a strong leader stem that appeared healthy. From this is formed most of the crown. East side of trunk largely hidden from view by foliage. Much dead wood and stumps of lost limbs.
