Source of earliest mention: 1936: The King's England - Arthur Mee
Notes:1999 and 2013 – Tim Hills: The yew grows SE of the church. It appears to be two fragments, but a branch from one side joins to the other at a height of about 10′. Girth was 18′ 10” (574cm) close to the ground. In 1999 a large holly tree grew only 2m from the yew.
In 2013 it had been removed, though a smaller holly bush remains. A girth of 18′ 8” (569cm) was recorded close to the ground. A more consistent height to record girth is perhaps at 3′, where 18′ 2” (554cm) was recorded.
