October 2011 – Peter Norton: The avenue of trees leading to The Grange is 364m in length (1/4 mile) with around 50 (25 each side) trees still standing. They were perhaps planted when the new church was built in 1887. The avenue lines up with its south porch. Towards the far southwest end of this avenue in a wooded area are ten yews, nine of which have girths around 10′.
