Notes: The site is owned by Dudley Borough Council. Its extensive parkland is open to the public. 1844 - Robert Garner's Natural History of Stafford reported that "at Himley, a yew, one foot from the ground, measures 20 feet 10 inches, another at 2 feet from the ground is 12 feet 6 inches." 1879: In The Old Cross, a Warwickshire Quarterly Magazine the information about the larger yew is repeated while the smaller yew is ignored. 1897 - John Lowe: Loudon recorded 'several immense trees'. 2003 - Tim Hills: I recorded and mapped 9 yews, there may be more. Approximate girths were 21', 18', 17', 16', 14', 14', 11', 10', 10'.
